Being in a pod can be intimidating for first time floaters, especially if you suffer from claustrophobia. The Douglas Room holds a large 8ft by 5ft pool without a lid to ease any of those unwanted feelings. The room is warmed and the pool heated to provide a comfortable floating experience. Although not full sensory reduction, the pool provides deep relaxation of muscle tension and helps reduce stress by being in a calm space.
Parent and Child Floats
The advantage of such a large pool is being able to accommodate parent and child floats. If you are looking for a complimentary method of teaching your child about self regulation, self care, mindfulness, or if they are suffering from any joint or muscle pain, try floating with your child. It's a great way to introduce them to the practice and looking after one's well-being.
Regular rates apply for you and your child can float for half price. *Bathing suits are required.*
Person who needs assistance and helper floats
If you are a caregiver for someone with a disability and they need assistance with their floating experience, this is the room for you. Contact us to discuss needs and accommodations and to view the room prior to booking an appointment.
